ARTIST BIO

I live in Melbourne Australia, Ever since I can remember I have always loved to draw and  to learn to paint, and it has always been a passion of mine to be an artist. Unfortunately, I could not fulfill my desire due to work and family commitments. I would paint as often as I could in my spare time.

In 1995 I started to go to evening life drawing and painting classes at my local community arts center. In 2000 I decided I wanted to be a full time painter and enrolled into a full time Diploma af Arts [Visual Arts] at the Victoria University. I graduated in 2002 and was awarded the Fiona Myer awarded for best graduating student. I have been painting full time ever since and my artworks are represented in private collections in Australia and overseas.

My genre is very traditional, realist oil paintings, still life, portraits and landscapes. I am inspired by the beauty of the Australian landscape especially by the rich colours of the the outback and desert. I also draw a lot of inspiration from my overseas travels.
